Mark started his career in the Financial services Industry fifteen years ago aged just 18. At the time he was the youngest ever Financial Adviser to work for Sun Life Financial of Canada since that started trading in the UK in 1896. Within three years he was ranked 25 out of 1,200 Financial Advisers operating in the UK. He was the youngest Adviser to be invited to their Top-Achievers conference which at the time was held in Boston, USA in the history of Sun Life Financial of Canada’s global operation.
He then went on to work for Zurich and at the age of 23 was the youngest person to become a partner in a practice operating in the Zurich Advice Network. In his first year, he helped build the most successful franchise Practice operating in there Anglia region, an area that included; Kent, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridge.
His desire to offer his clients the best possible advice and products lead him to become an Independent Financial Adviser two years later. During his time as an IFA he qualified as a member of MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) with two “Court of the Table” and four “Top of the Table” qualifications. His status as a TOT member ranks me him in the top 1% of Financial Advisers worldwide. MDRT is the premier association for financial professionals. An independent, international association, MDRT members demonstrate exceptional professional knowledge, strict ethical conduct and outstanding client service. MDRT membership is recognized internationally as the standard of excellence in the life assurance and financial services business.
The creation of Pacific IFA was born out of Mark’s frustration of the Financial Services Industry. He felt that Banks, Insurance Companies and Financial Advisers had for many years let the British public down with poor products and lacklustre advice. His overwhelming drive is for Pacific IFA to become the most successful and well respected IFA Company ever to have operated in the United Kingdom and has set an ambitious 10 year plan for this vision to be achieved.
Mark believes this can be done by putting the client’s needs and aspirations first and at the heart of financial planning, backed up by high quality face to face advice and an unparalleled client service proposition.
